American College Dublin Performing Arts to Move to New State-of-the-Art Home ACD is proud to announce a new partnership with the Irish Institute of Music & Song (IIMS) and The Lark Concert Hall, bringing its Musical Theatre and Performing Arts programmes to a state-of-the-art facility in Balbriggan from September 2026.

American College Dublin is delighted to announce an exciting new chapter for its Performing Arts programmes. Beginning in September 2026, Musical Theatre and Performing Arts students will train in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility designed to support the next generation of performers, creators, and industry professionals.

The move marks an exciting new partnership led by Dr. Deirdre Masterson, Director of Performing Arts at American College Dublin, who has joined forces with the Irish Institute of Music & Song (IIMS) and The Lark Concert Hall in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Together, they will offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Musical Theatre, welcoming aspiring performers from across Ireland and around the world to study in an exceptional professional environment.

Purpose-built for artistic excellence, the new complex offers an outstanding learning environment featuring advanced rehearsal studios, dedicated vocal and acting spaces, enhanced technical resources, and modern student support facilities. At the heart of the campus is a spectacular 400-seat professional theatre, set against the backdrop of the Irish Sea- a truly inspiring setting where students will rehearse, perform, and showcase their talents.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment between American College Dublin, IIMS, and The Lark to fostering innovation, artistic excellence, and career-focused education. By combining world-class facilities with ACD’s renowned conservatory-style training, students will benefit from an immersive educational experience that prepares them for successful careers in the performing arts.

The new facility represents a significant milestone for American College Dublin. It reinforces the College’s commitment to providing boutique conservatory-style training in facilities that reflect the exceptional quality of its faculty, curriculum, and industry connections. This investment further strengthens ACD’s position as one of Europe’s leading destinations for Musical Theatre education.

As we prepare to welcome students and faculty into this remarkable new home, we look forward to seeing the next generation of artists flourish in a space purposefully designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Stay tuned as we embark on this exciting new era for Performing Arts at American College Dublin.
